Terrance McAvoy

Terrance John McAvoy was an officer with the NYPD, later attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was born March 2nd, 1989, and was found deceased on July 27th, 2019, at the age of 30.

He may have had information regarding the Anthony Weiner laptop. Multiple officers viewed the horrifying videos found on the laptop, and many quit the force shortly after.

Suicide Number 7

 

Terrance was found deceased in his home located in New Dorp, Staten Island. (map)

He was assigned to the 72nd Precinct in New York. Shortly after becoming a Sergeant, he was moved to the Brooklyn Transit Unit.

Terrance is the 7th NYPD officer to commit suicide in 2019. Like the others, he died from a self inflicted gunshot wound, and the gun was found near him on the bed.
