Great Saint James Island is lesser known, as it was purchased in 2016. The company who purchased the island was a temporary Limited Liability Company, or LLC, called St. Great Jim. The 165 acre island was purchased for $18 million.

Both islands are in the United States Virgin Islands. It is a short boat ride to St. Thomas Island to the North West. With Little Saint James island being close by to the North East.

Epstein ran into building permit trouble when trying to begin unauthorized construction on Little Saint James. He ran into the same problem again when starting construction on Great Saint James. He paid over $1 million in building permit violations for the island, and kept building despite the stop work orders issued to him. One of his plans included an underground pool. Child traffickers use pools have an area to spray off children, both before and after they are used.

The only part of Great Saint James (map) that is not owned by Epstein is called Christmas Cove. However, he quickly shut it down for Great Saint James, even posting no trespassing signs on the beach. The tours are still open, only they no longer include Great Saint James on their route.

Rusty Shackleford flew a drone over the island and posted the footage to his youtube channel. He has several videos, all of which are very well done.

Locals from neighboring islands refer to Great Saint James as the dark corner of the Virgin Islands. The location of both islands offer quick access to Saint Thomas Island, and is relatively close to Haiti and Honduras. Both Haiti and Honduras are major trafficking zones. Honduras is also where the migrant caravans originated before trying to enter the United States through Mexico.
